Fastest Boat Powered By Human Fat. Is It Ecological?

Peter Bethune, a New Zealander, will take it out on March 1—using some of his own fat harvested through liposuction—and try and break the world’s record for powerboating around the world. Here are the stats: “Earthrace is a 78 foot alternative fuel powered wave-piercing trimaran, it can carry 3,000 gallons of fuel, and weighs 23 tonnes when fully fueled…”It is also deadly gorgeous, with a Darth Vader kind of aesthetic. There are times when innovation just leaves you speechless. Riva Already Making Waves with the New 86’ Domino

After officially unveiling their latest 26-meter luxury yacht, the 86’ Domino at last weekend’s Cannes Boat Show, Italian yacht-builders Riva have already made a splash, bagging the World Yachts Trophies Award for Best Design in the above 24 meter category.

Taking her place in the harbor alongside the current Riva fleet, her contemporary lines covered in new shade of Metallic Ice, the 86’ Domino’s profile is sleek, sporty and commanding.

Designed with the simple goal of creating more spaces for those on board to enjoy, the Domino features a large sundeck complete with a dining area for six, living areas in the cockpit, an open sunbed, air-conditioned upper gallery, as well as four comfortably furnished cabins that include a master cabin with private en-suite and vanity.
